High School Fine Arts Trip: Germany & Austria

cms-rr-GAS15
The 2015-2016 High School Fine Arts trip will be during Spring Break 2016 and will feature a tour of art, music and drama sites in Austria and Germany. Students will visit Salzburg, Austria, home of Mozart and many "Sound of Music" filming sites and Vienna, Austria home to numerous artists and composers, as well as, the capital of European opera. Students will visit many famous castles and cathedrals, museums of amazing art and cultural experiences. We will also visit sites in Germany that reflect the rich artistic culture of the fine arts in both historical and contemporary settings.    Students will also visit Dachau concentration camp and make a traditional German pastry in a hands-on cooking school.
Students interested in going must take at least one semester of a fine art (art, chorale, drama, praise band or concert band) next year and must have a valid passport by time of departure.

Hydrocephalus Walk Results

Shunt not a cure pic-Lusardo Congratulations, Mrs. Lusardo! Not only did your class raise the most money in the 2nd Annual Kids to Cure Hydrocephalus WALK, but you also have the student who raised the most in the school!
Congratulations to both you and Luke Burger! All total, Luke raised $1,225 for the cause, and your class raised $3,115. That is unbelievable, and we couldn't have raised the AMAZING total of $11,000 in the elementary school without each and every student that helped - and especially not without the help of Mrs. Lusardo's Lightning Friends!
Every person with hydrocephalus, including Ema, Steele, and everyone that lives daily with the condition is truly blessed to have such awesome friends and protectors that are their prayer warriors - and can help raise awareness the way you all have.  Each of the students at SBA have learned so many different things about hydrocephalus and how to raise awareness both years we have had the privilege to do this event - what an honor it was to be able to give this award to Ema's class this year. Thank you to each and every student, faculty, and staff member who helped make another successful Kids to Cure event happen this year!  We can't WAIT to see you all again next year.

 Middle School Does Something

DMA_4316 In the spirit of this year's "Do Something" school theme, our middle schoolers led by their student council raised $562.30 to benefit the children of the Tennessee Baptist Children's Homes here in Chattanooga. What a great gesture to help other kids their age in our local community!
