Capturing their Hearts

At Silverdale, nothing matters more than the heart of a student — from preschool to graduation.

We believe the most lasting foundation we can lay is found in the people we entrust to teach, mentor, and lead. That’s why we carefully choose faculty and staff who are deeply rooted in their faith and whose lives overflow with love for our students and community.

Our guiding pillars, discipleship, excellence, and integrity, all flow from a heart fully turned toward our Creator.
This focus is simple, foundational, and woven into everything we do.

Challenging their Thinking

True education goes beyond memorization by transforming the way students think. At Silverdale, we challenge each student’s perspective through the Socratic method, encouraging them to ask deep questions, engage in meaningful dialogue, and wrestle with complex ideas.

Our curriculum is rich, relevant, and aligned top to bottom— led by creative, faithful educators who inspire transformation. In a rapidly changing world, our philosophy is simple and timeless: instill a love for learning through hands-on projects, real-world experiences, and authentic relationships. With that love for learning and a strong foundation of lasting skills, our students face the road ahead with adaptability, discernment, and purpose.

Fueling their Passion

Every student is uniquely gifted by God with talents, passions, and purpose. Through a wide range of extracurricular and co-curricular programs — from fine arts and athletics to robotics, leadership, outdoor recreation, and service — students are given the opportunity to discover and develop their God-given abilities.

These experiences go beyond the classroom, helping students grow in confidence, creativity, and character as they learn to use their gifts for His glory.

Igniting their Influence

Every student has the potential to influence the world for Christ. Through hands-on service projects and intentional discipleship opportunities, students learn to lead with compassion, humility, and purpose. These experiences go beyond the classroom, shaping hearts and sharpening minds as students step into real needs on campus, within the community and beyond.

By serving others and growing in their walk with Christ, students begin to understand that true influence is ignited through the selfless act of serving.

Inspiring their Wonder

God’s creation is one of the most powerful classrooms we have. Our outdoor education program is intentionally designed to awaken wonder, ignite curiosity, and cultivate a deep reverence for creation.

Whether hiking to Robin’s Roost, tending grade-level gardens, or studying by the creek, students encounter the beauty and complexity of creation firsthand — and with it, the majesty of the Creator. In these spaces, students are free to move, explore, and take age-appropriate risks in a safe, natural environment — building resilience, confidence, and a lifelong love for learning. Outdoor learning at Silverdale invites boundless curiosity, joyful discovery, and the freedom to thrive.

The Arts at Silverdale provides a pathway for students to explore, develop, and showcase their artistic gifts for the glory of God through a wide variety of visual, performing, and literary art forms.

Outdoor Education

What better way to learn about God’s creation than to experience His creation? We believe experiential learning needs to be integrated into all curriculums at Silverdale Baptist Academy.

Children can best acquire a rich body of knowledge and lifelong skills through a curriculum that is developmentally appropriate, vertically aligned, and executed by faculty who are experts in their field.

Silverdale Baptist Academy admits students of any race, color, national origin, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. Silverdale Baptist Academy does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarships, financial aid, and athletic and other school-administered or sponsored programs and events.

Silverdale requires students to be vaccinated in accordance with the schedule or catch-up schedule prescribed by state statutes and regulations. Even though Tennessee law provides exemptions for religious objections, Silverdale’s policy does not. Silverdale will determine whether to allow medical exemptions on a case-by-case basis after review by a medical professional selected by Silverdale.  The preschool at Silverdale Baptist Academy does not accept any exemptions - medical or religious.

If a student is not current with his or her vaccinations, Silverdale will allow the catch-up schedule to be followed as long as the student’s immunizations are up to date prior to the first day of school (for preschool, prior to July 1st). Silverdale will work with a family and their physician if they have scheduling issues, but they must be making a good faith effort to make progress in accordance with the catch-up schedule.
