High School Theatre presents Fiddler on the Roof

Silverdale Baptist Academy's High School Theatre Department is proud to present the timeless musical classic, Fiddler on the Roof. This heartwarming and captivating production will be held on Friday, April 28th, at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 29th, at 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., in the Silverdale Center Creekside Theater.

Fiddler on the Roof tells the story of Tevye, a poor Jewish milkman living in the small village of Anatevka in Imperial Russia. Despite facing discrimination and anti-Semitism, Tevye tries to maintain his religious and cultural traditions while balancing the pressures of raising five daughters and finding suitable husbands for them. As the world around him begins to change, Tevye is forced to confront his own beliefs and make difficult decisions for his family.

This beloved musical has captivated audiences around the world since its premiere in 1964. With memorable songs such as "Tradition," "Matchmaker, Matchmaker," and "Sunrise, Sunset," Fiddler on the Roof is a celebration of family, love, and the resilience of the human spirit.

The Silverdale Baptist Academy High School Theatre Department promises a captivating and entertaining production that will transport audiences to another time and place. The talented cast and crew have worked tirelessly to bring this beloved story to life, and their dedication and passion will shine through in every moment of the performance. This production also marks the final show for high school theatre director Terri Bateman, who will be retiring in May after fourteen years at SBA.
