“Parenting By The Book”

"To all of my elementary moms: It seems like only yesterday when I was searching for a book, a seminar, a class, and most of all an older woman to help guide me in how to be a better wife and mother. I knew little about the worldwide web, and nothing of blogs and podcasts but I was searching in every way that I knew to find the help I needed to become a godly woman. I really don’t remember any one book study or seminar but I know that I was driven over and over again to the Word and to the company of some great women who were on the journey too.

Every generation has more information at their fingertips but it seems we struggle more than ever to find our way. All that information must be sifted through the grid of God’s Word. We need community more than ever with the older teaching the younger how to navigate this life. Elementary moms, come and join us on Friday mornings at 9:15 in the chapel (formerly the SMC) for a time of teaching, discussion and prayer. Bring your coffee and your Bible. This Friday, September 13, will be an introductory time as we look at Titus 2. Next week we will begin our book study of “Parenting by The Book” by Dr. John Rosemond. Feel free to use any form of the book that you like."
