Chattanooga Fire Department Visits Preschool and Kindergarten

[gallery type="rectangular" link="none" ids="2577,2576,2575,2574,2573,2572,2571,2570" orderby="rand"] In connection with Fire Prevention month, the Chattanooga Fire Department, along with Sparky the Fire Dog, visited SBA Preschool and Kindergarten children. The children learned the traditional lessons of "STOP! DROP! and ROLL!" and "Firemen are our Friends", along with the fairly new concept of practicing family fire drills regularly at home like we do at school. They had a great time!

Students have been working on art projects, essays, and research projects in preparations for next month's celebration of our nation's veterans. Our keynote speaker for this year's event will be Lieutenant Commander Timothy White, the Navy officer who returned fire during the July 16, 2015 attack on the Navy Operational Support Center here in Chattanooga. We hope you'll make plans to join us for what will be one of the most powerful events we host all year. To RSVP your veteran as our guest of honor, visit our Veterans Day page at silverdaleba.org/vetday, but hurry - registration closes Wednesday, November 4th!
