Operation Orchard 2019

This is the 9th year that our Academy is undertaking a special service project called Operation Orchard that is so near and dear to my heart. Silverdale’s FCA students sponsor this event and they lead out in collecting Christmas gifts to share with the 550 students of Orchard Knob Elementary School! The children at Orchard Knob are mostly from underprivileged families, and some of them do not receive any Christmas gifts at all.

How can our SBA families participate? We are asking every student to bring one or two gifts - unwrapped - or send a financial contribution (check to Silverdale Baptist Academy, indicating Operation Orchard). $15-$20 toys are currently being collected. Students who participate will receive a dress down day on Monday, December 9th. They can drop off their toys at the Upper School Reception desk.

• When: We will deliver the toys and have a special Christmas celebration led by FCA and our Praise Band on Tuesday, December 17th from 11:30 to 2:00. Please keep us in your prayers that the presence of God will permeate in all that we do and His love and grace will shine through it all.
• Goal: Our goal is to share the true meaning of Christmas, to sing Christmas carols, and to share the love and joy of Christmas with the elementary students at Orchard Knob. Each student will receive a Christmas gift!   

We will need to collect over 550 gifts, and every year as we reach our goal feels like a Christmas miracle! Will you please join us and be a part of this year’s Christmas miracle?
