Homecoming 2013

We are so looking forward to tomorrow night's Homecoming 2013 festivities! You should have received communication about the big night, but just in case, here's what's happening:

  • Homecoming festivities - 6:30pm
  • Kick-off vs. Grace Academy - 7:30pm
  • Alumni honored throughout the evening
  • Halftime celebration of cancer survivors with the American Cancer Society - passing the pink buckets to collect donations
  • Canned food collection through the Chattanooga Area Food Bank to support hunger in our community
  • iPad Mini giveaway to one lucky winner from Grace and one lucky winner from SBA - text to win! (Details tomorrow night)
  • 5th Quarter event sponsored by the Silverdale Student Ministry for all high school students - located in the Student Ministry Building
We hope you'll be joining us for the big night as our Seahawks remain undefeated! We are asking that the students black out along with the football team, and that the community and our fans wear pink in support of breast cancer awareness. We will have pink ribbons to give away at the gates as you enter, and pink shirts and wristbands to sell as well. See you tomorrow night at 6:30pm for Homecoming 2013!

Veterans Day Program

This year's Veterans Day program, "BECAUSE OF YOUR COURAGE: Remembering Our Heroes", is right around the corner! Mark your calendars now for Monday, November 11th - Veterans Day 2013. Our school-wide program will begin at 8:30am in the Silverdale Baptist Church sanctuary and will be a beautiful time of honoring our veterans through student-led expressions of thanks. There will be patriotic music, art and drama, all performed and led by our creative and talented students. If you are a veteran or know of a veteran who would like to attend, please fill out a form on our website by CLICKING HERE. Our guests of honor are United States Army Specialist Andrew Smith and his wife Tori. Andrew and Tori have a powerful story to tell, as Andrew lost both legs to an improvised explosive device (IED) while deployed to Afghanistan just last March. You can read more on their journey on their website HERE. This video below shares the last 12 months of Andrew's recovery  - we hope you'll watch.
