Share Your Christmas Food Drive Totals

DSC_6637WRCB-TV's David Carroll and representatives from the Chattanooga Area Food Bank joined us this Wednesday morning as the school gathered in the sanctuary for the first place trophy presentation. 23,959: the final weight of the food we as a community collected before Christmas to help put food on the table for the less fortunate of the Tennessee valley. This trophy is yours Silverdale family - we thank you again for your giving spirit year after year! You can read David's write-up on the WRCB website and check out photos from the event on our Facebook page here.

Donuts For Dads Recap

It's been nearly two weeks now since our Donuts For Dads event, but we wanted to share with you the video our Dads got to see that morning. We also want to thank all the volunteers who stayed after the basketball game the night before to set up all of the tables for this event - it was a huge help! If you'd like to connect with guest speaker Wally Hindman, you can find him through The Journey Ministries website. Enjoy! [youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JsBBxQVUbIw?rel=0&w=560&h=315]

Beta Club Sponsors Blood Drive

24354581_SA
The high school Beta Club sponsored by Mrs. Sarah Johnson has organized a blood drive in cooperation with Blood Assurance. We hope you'll consider giving and mark your calendars for Thursday, February 27th from 9am - 4pm. You'll need to sign up for a time slot before dropping by, but we have all of those details on the Parent Portal here. That's not all though - there will be cookie cakes, pizza parties, and dress down days for the homerooms with the most participation, school-wide! Tell all your friends, family, neighbors, and church members to give blood and mention your homeroom. That's it! Stay close, as we'll continue to keep you informed.
