December 12, 2013

Operation Orchard LOGO This is our third year providing a gift for every student at Orchard Knob Elementary and demonstrating God's love for them.  This year, there are 620 students at Orchard Knob in Pre-K through 5th grades.  We are asking that SBA students buy gifts in the $10 - $20 range in the following manner:

Freshmen - Kindergarten & 1st grade
Sophomores - 1st & 2nd grade
Juniors - 3rd & 4th grade
Seniors - 4th & 5th grade
If anyone in the Seahawk Nation would like to purchase a gift for a student at Orchard Knob, you can leave the unwrapped gift at any of the school entrances. Thank you!

A Huge Thank-You From PTF

PTF would like to thank all of you for your continued support of PTF.  Through our membership drive, spirit days, and incentive programs we have been able to accomplish a lot during this first semester! These are just a few of the things we have been able to do for our staff and children:

  • Aided in sending our High School and Middle School students to Camp Vesper and Horn’s Creek
  • Provided staff lunches for their in-service day before school started
  • Provided the School supply kit program for parents
  • Provided the Uniform Resale to help parents with the cost of uniforms
  • Helped in getting homeroom moms for teachers and find volunteers for numerous events
  • Led homeroom moms and their classes in providing baskets for the Gala
  • Purchased Gala Tables for teachers  to support the Gala fundraiser
  • Provided the Christmas Shop for our kids to purchase gifts for family members

None of this would have been possible without the support of all of you.  We thank you!Merry Christmas to your family from PTF!  We look forward to next semester and the opportunity to continue to partner with our school!

Baseball Team Fundraiser

BASEBALL card The Seahawk high school baseball team is selling Platinum MVP discount cards to support the baseball program. These cards provide discounts to over 300 businesses in the Chattanooga area.  Each card costs $20 and comes with a free $25 restaurant gift certificate, so the card pays for itself very quickly! This is a great stocking stuffer and a way to commemorate last year's district champs, region champs, and state runner-up team. Please see a player or coach to get one of these amazing cards. You can also contact head coach Jonathan Adcock by email. Thanks!
