At Silverdale, we prioritize the health and well-being of all students, including those with food allergies. In partnership with SAGE Dining Services, we offer the Free Style® allergen-free lunch line, ensuring students have access to safe, delicious meals without the top 12 allergens: peanuts, tree nuts, shellfish, milk, gluten, eggs, fish, wheat, sesame, soy, mustard, and sulfites.

This initiative allows students with food allergies to confidently select meals without the need for constant checking or inquiries. Free Style® meals are clearly labeled and served in a controlled environment to prevent cross-contact, promoting inclusivity and peace of mind for students and parents alike.

On Tuesdays, our SAGE Dining team invites students to expand their palates with Try-It Tuesdays! At a special "Try-It" station, students are encouraged to sample unique and seasonal foods they may not have tasted before. Adventurous eaters earn a fun sticker as a reward for their curiosity and willingness to try something new.

This year, students have enjoyed exploring flavors like earthy mushrooms, roasted beets harvested from our own grade-level gardens, and vibrant fruits such as grapefruit and pomegranate. It’s a delicious way to build healthy habits and food confidence—one bite at a time!

Twice a week, our middle and high school students enjoy a fun alternative to the traditional lunch line with the Hungry Hawk food truck! This on-campus favorite offers a rotating menu of delicious, student-approved options that make lunchtime something to look forward to.

This year, the Hungry Hawk has served up crowd-pleasers like warm soft pretzels, cheesy quesadillas, classic corn dogs, hot chocolate, and much more. On special occasions, our elementary students also get to join in the fun, making it an exciting treat for all grade levels.

Whether it's a quick snack or a full lunch, the Hungry Hawk brings variety, flavor, and a little extra joy to the school day.

We love welcoming parents, grandparents, and special family friends to campus for lunch! As part of our commitment to community and connection, approved guests are invited to share a meal with their student during lunchtime.

To ensure a smooth visit, guests simply check in with reception and security upon arrival. Once signed in, they’ll be guided to our special reserved seating area, designed to make lunchtime visits both comfortable and memorable.

Whether you're celebrating a birthday, marking a milestone, or just dropping by to connect, lunch at school becomes even more meaningful when shared with the ones we love.
