Frequently Asked Questions

As a Sponsor, do I fill my table with guests, or does SBA? You may fill your table of 10 with family, friends, or colleagues or notify SBA and we can fill it for you. Have your table guests check in with the Hostess, and they will guide them to your table. You may contact us via phone by calling (423) 892-2319 X 2224 or by email: advancement@silverdaleba.org.

As a Sponsor, when and where do I turn in payment for my table? If you did not pay online, your sponsorship payment can be paid to any of our school receptionists or by mailing it in:

What is the attire? From sequin dresses to colorful shirts, Under the Sea is waiting for you! This night will be one to remember as you navigate the waters of the Westin Downtown to experience the coral reefs and everything in between.

What time do I need to be at the Gala? The Program begins at 6:30 pm.

What will the entertainment and dinner be like? There will be a “live” auction and a dinner catered by The Westin.

How do I participate in the auctions? There will be 3 different auctions to particiapte in.

The Silent Specialty Auction items, only available the night of the gala, will be available to view at 6:00 p.m. outside the Portman Ballroom in the River Room. You will be able to write your name and bid by the items you are bidding on and check back throughout the evening to raise your bid if desired. This Auction will close at 8 p.m.

The Online Auction will be opening a couple of weeks before the gala and everyone will be able to bid on these specialty items. The link for this auction will be added to this page, as well as being on our social media. The Online Auction will close at 12:00 a.m. the morning after the Gala.

The Live Auction, the night of the event, will not require any prepaid paddles as we are moving to a true live auction only with an auctioneer.  

More details about these auctions will be coming in January.

As a Sponsor, can I invite children? Everyone is welcome at the Gala. The Gala is a fundraiser for Silverdale Baptist Academy and is a celebration of the Academy.  It is at the discretion of the Sponsor to determine the guests at their table. Because there will not be childcare available the night of the Gala, guests are responsible for their children.

Do I need to bring anything? In years past, we have sold preloaded paddles or had buckets for cash in the center of your tables.  This year, we will have the Speciality Auction outside the ballroom for you to bid on throughout the evening and a “live auction” with an actual auctioneer.  You will need to pay for your auction items at the end of the night, whether by check or credit card.
