VIDEO: Silverdale Center Announcement

Hello Silverdale family,

I would like to take a moment to update you on the progress of our “If Campaign” for the future Silverdale Center. I am pleased to announce God has provided a total of $8.5 million for this vision!

He has provided this funding in the form of donations from Silverdale Baptist Church and Academy families and friends, as well as a partial bank loan for SBA.  

With that amount, we moved forward making adjustments to the original plans. While some portions of the project had to be adjusted, the Creekside Theatre, a tournament-capacity gymnasium, a weight room, a STEAM lab, rehearsal rooms, studios, classrooms, and much more remain intact.

We are now in the process of obtaining the necessary permits, bid selections, and everything else that goes along with a construction project that will move us ever closer to that monumental groundbreaking celebration that will take place within the next few months.

Over late spring and summer, we have consulted with students, Silverdale faculty and Church staff, architects, bankers, school board members and many other vested individuals in order to finalize the plans and budget for this God-sized addition to our Silverdale community. And we are ready.

In Habakkuk, chapter 2, the scripture reads: 

“Then the Lord answered me and said, ‘record the vision and inscribe it on tablets, that the one who reads it may run.’ ”

We are doing that very thing for the future of our students. We are thankful that our Silverdale Center will provide opportunities for personal growth for our students and a venue for passionate expression for worship for both our Church and Academy in a most excellent way.

I am looking forward to sharing exciting architectural updates throughout the project with you as they become available.

Please be in prayer for our Church and Academy as we continue through this exciting expansion. It is rewarding to see your children being afforded these wonderful opportunities.

As Robert Lewis Stevenson once said,

“Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but rather the seed you plant.”
