Senior Day 2017

Nearing graduation, our seniors enjoyed a well-deserved Senior Day this past Wednesday, complete with outdoor games by the creek and the Grilled Cheese Emergency food truck on-site for lunch! Before that though, the entire school paused and stepped out into the halls for a parade in honor of the Class of 2017. Students from the preschool through the high school cheered for and gave high-fives to the seniors as they made their way through the campus that many of them spent the better part of 18 years in. It's one of our favorite events every year, and if you missed it live on our Facebook Page, you can see it here below!

You're Invited: Social Media & The Digital Age Parent Forum - Part II

For Parents, By Parents

Tuesday, June 6th, 6:30pm in The Chapel

The primary topic of discussion will be apps - what's out there, what they do, how some can be deceiving, and which ones are popular among our children. We hope you'll make plans to attend!

Da Vinci Art Award Recipient

"I wanted to tell you how much the Da Vinci Art Award meant to Jacob! He was so excited and was grinning from ear to ear. He took a picture of the trophy on his cell phone to show everyone but he forgot his phone! I am so thankful that Jacob attends a school that recognizes all students abilities. The award ceremony always gets to me when I see how this happens and how God is truly honored and upheld in all events at SBA. Thanks again for your dedication to the students. It does not go unnoticed!"  - Jacob's mother, Mrs. Atkins

Jacob is a student in our IMPACT program. Our upper school art teacher Mrs. Jennifer Leslie said this about Jacob: "He is such a bright spot in class every day in art. I wish I had more students like him. I have never seen such imagination and creativity with drawing his characters!"

Seahawks Dominating In Post-Season

Seahawk high school baseball, softball, and tennis are red-hot heading into the post-season! Baseball clinched the District Championship, defeating Boyd Buchanan 10-4 Thursday at Silverdale, and softball defeated CSAS 10-3 the same evening to bring home their District Championship. Although boys tennis is done for the season, Jameson Mench captured a District title in boys singles and is still playing. Girls tennis is leaving their mark as well, making history by earning our tennis program's first-ever Regional Championship! Middle school softball has been no slouch either, finishing their season undefeated and taking all the hardware in the ISC Tournament. Congratulations to all of our spring sports teams, and best of luck to those still in post-season competition!

Grieving With Our Neighbors

As we do for every tragedy involving a school in Chattanooga, Mrs. Hansard wrote a personal note to the faculty and staff of McCallie and delivered it with something for those on the front lines following the loss of student Jackson Standefer. We are thankful for a Silverale Family that is sensitive to the needs of our neighbors and like our Head of School, lets it be known that people are thinking about and praying for all involved. Below is the response from Middle School Principal Mr. Scotty Jones:
