Zero Reunion 2016

Each year, we host a Zero Reunion luncheon for our soon-to-graduate seniors. The focus is on giving back to the academy whenever and however possible, whether financially, through volunteer work, prayer support, positive references, and more. This year's event was special in that for the first time, we invited a panel of alumni to share their words of wisdom and appreciation for Silverdale. Listen below to what Courtney McDonald ('09), Stephanie Bautista ('11), Ethan Shamblin ('11), Zach Capehart ('11), and Jonathan Sanders ('15) had to say to the Class of 2016 as Mr. Chris Neighbors moderates. Middle School Drama This Week

L&O logo Mrs. Callie Crews has been working hard with her cast of middle school students in preparations for their presentation of Law & Order: Fairy Tale Unit this Thursday and Friday, April 28th-29th at 6:30pm in the Chapel here on campus. General Admission is $5 (including students), $4 for senior adults, and free to faculty and staff. We hope to see you there for an evening of comedic fun!

Rick Hansard Shares His Children's Book, Encourages Writing

You may know him as the husband of our Head of School, but last week, Mr. Rick Hansard - the published author - visited with our students to share his new book and encouraged us all to be writers in our own way. He quoted the great painter Vincent van Gogh, who said: "If you hear a voice within you say 'you cannot paint,' then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced." You can find Mr. Hansard's children's book, The Midday Adventures of Charley McDoogle, on Amazon.com and BarnesAndNoble.com. [youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTYJf60Ifeo&w=640&h=360]
