Share Your Christmas!

SYC
Thank you to everyone for your generosity already in this year's Share Your Christmas canned food drive. We are continuing to collect cans through Friday, December 4th, so keep them coming! We're pushing to fill our first storage container before Thanksgiving break, so bring your 20+ cans now to ensure your student receives a dress down day on Wednesday, December 9th. Mrs. Hansard's Student Ambassadors will be in all morning carlines to assist you with your donations.

 Operation Orchard

Operation Orchard LOGO
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes club at Silverdale sponsors a toy drive each year for the 630 students at Orchard Knob Elementary School here in Chattanooga. This will be our 5th year of this great event that has given many of our students, faculty, and staff memories that they will never forget. The children at Orchard Knob are mostly from underprivileged families and some of them do not receive any Christmas gifts at all. This service project is one of the most special events for our students because they get to love on these students and see their faces as they receive their gift. We will be delivering the Toys and have a special Christmas celebration to share the love and message of Christmas with the students at Orchard Knob on December 16th. We are asking that Silverdale students buy gifts in the $10 - $20 range, following the guidelines below:
  • 9th grade bring gifts for Kindergarten and 1st grade
  • 10th grade & 6th grade bring gifts for 1st and 2nd grade
  • 11th grade & 7th grade bring gifts for 3rd and 4th grade
  • 12th grade & 8th grade bring gifts for 4th and 5th grade
Students can leave the unwrapped gifts with the receptionist at any of the school entrances. Monetary donations are also accepted. We will be accepting gifts up to Monday, December 14th. Search social media using #oktoys to see pictures from previous years and to share your pictures and videos. Thank you for your support of these precious students at Orchard Knob.
