News & Info: Exam Week
From the Office of the Head of School
Mrs. Hansard recently received a letter from someone in our community who had wonderful things to say about her interactions with some of our students. Here's what she had to say:"I was volunteering a few weeks ago at Signal Centers Fall Festival. I met several students from your Academy. I wish to tell you that you all are doing something right! All students were polite and mature and showed great love and concern for the children. I was especially impressed with the young men who read the books to the children at the snack table. Keep up the good work with these students."
Spirit Shop Kiosk
Find a gift for all those Seahawks on your list this Christmas when you shop at the all-new Spirit Shop kiosk! Located in the upper school lobby (entrance #1) each day from 7:30am - 3:30pm, they have new items appearing all the time. Cash, checks, and even credit cards are accepted, so stop by this week and load up on Seahawk gear for everyone!Operation Orchard
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes club at Silverdale sponsors a toy drive each year for the 630 students at Orchard Knob Elementary School here in Chattanooga. This will be our 5th year of this great event that has given many of our students, faculty, and staff memories that they will never forget. The children at Orchard Knob are mostly from underprivileged families and some of them do not receive any Christmas gifts at all. This service project is one of the most special events for our students because they get to love on these students and see their faces as they receive their gift. We will be delivering the Toys and have a special Christmas celebration to share the love and message of Christmas with the students at Orchard Knob on December 16th.
Search social media using #oktoys to see pictures from previous years and to share your pictures and videos. Thank you for your support of these precious students at Orchard Knob!

Share Your Christmas Food Drive Results
Thanks to your selflessness and generosity, we were able to collect 21, 124 lbs. or food for the Chattanooga Area Food Bank to use to feed our Chattanooga neighbors this Christmas. What's incredible is that the Food Bank took in a combined total of 79,110 lbs from all of their collection locations, making Silverdale a contributor of nearly 30% of all donations during this year's Share Your Christmas Food Drive! Thank you Seahawks!FEATURED VIDEO:
