Silverdale's History

SBA opened its door to six Kindergarten students in the fall of 1999. Believing the truth of Matthew 17:20-21, which states, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you," the decision was made to expand the academy to K-12 for the fall of 2000. That year began with 235 eager students in all grades.

Many expansions later (including a three story educational building, athletic complex, high school building, fine arts center, and our newest multi-purpose commons area) Silverdale Baptist Academy serves approximately 1,300 students in preschool through 12th grade with a mission to prepare them for all walks of life.

ChildLight Association of Schools

The ChildLight Association of Schools is a network of Christian schools inspired by Charlotte Mason’s educational philosophy. Founded in 1995, it supports schools in creating rich learning environments focused on character development, meaningful relationships, and a love for learning. Member schools benefit from professional development, shared resources, and a collaborative community. The association promotes the core Mason principles of atmosphere, discipline, and life, aiming to nurture the whole child through a Christ-centered, holistic education.

Biblical Integration

Small Groups

While corporate worship promotes unity on campus, small groups create an intimate and supportive environment for students to feel known and understood.

Middle and high school students are assigned gender specific discipleship groups that meet with a staff member during activity period every Tuesday.

Elementary students are fully immersed in a daily bible class, weekly classroom chats with our Chaplain, and monthly tribe interactions.

Each school year begins with an all-school chapel to center our hearts and minds on Christ as a school community with a shared mission.

Donuts with Dads

Donuts for Dads is a cherished tradition at our Academy that celebrates the vital role fathers/ father figures play in a child’s life.

Grandparent's Parade

Grandparents Day/Parade are special ways we celebrate the legacy, love, & faith of the generations that came before us.

Senior Parade

The Senior Parade is a joyful tradition that honors our graduating seniors and celebrates their journey through our school.

Moments with Mom

Moments with Moms is a warm tradition that honors the nurturing presence of mothers/mother figures in our school community.

Daddy-Daughter Dance

The Daddy-Daughter Dance is a meaningful tradition that celebrates the unique and God-given bond between fathers and daughters.

Creation Celebration

The entire SBA population celebrates God's creation every fall with vendors and outdoor learning opportunities.

Mother-Son Outing

Our annual Mother-Son event is a special opportunity to celebrate the bond between mothers and sons with so much fun!
